A SECO Master Gripping Chuck (model MTJ-G) is a type of self-centering chuck with a two-piece jaw design, manufactured by State Engineering Corporation.This design makes the chuck highly versatile for both precision machining and mass production.

Two-Piece Jaw System: The defining feature of the MTJ chuck is its split jaw system, which consists of master base jaws and replaceable top jaws.The chuck comes standard with a set of reversible hard jaws and a set of soft jaws. The soft jaws can be machined to fit the exact profile of a workpiece, which is ideal for holding delicate or irregular parts without damage and for ensuring high repetitive accuracy during secondary operations.
High Precision: SECO chucks are designed to provide a high level of accuracy and repeatability. The Master Gripping Chucks in particular are known for their ability to achieve a repetitive accuracy of less than 0.05 mm on chucks ranging from 160 mm to 315 mm in diameter.
