Manufactured by Zither Machine Tools Industries, this chuck is a versatile workholding solution for CNC and conventional lathes, offering both the speed of a self-centering chuck and the flexibility of custom jaws.
How It Works
Unlike a standard chuck with a single set of jaws, the Master Grip Chuck's jaws are split into two parts: a master hard base jaw and a set of replaceable top jaws. The top jaws are secured to the base jaws with allen bolts. This design allows for quick changes between different types of jaws, such as a set of reversible hard jaws for standard gripping and a set of soft jaws for re-machining to a specific part's profile.
